Coaching for Founders & Leaders

The Move – Coaching for Founders and Leaders | Sunil Bhaskaran
Coaching for founders & leaders

You know the move. You’re not making it.

Part engineer, part designer, thirty years an entrepreneur and adviser to leaders. I find the one decision you keep circling – the hire, the market, the ask, the launch – and design the way through it.

The thing stopping you is often a blind spot you don’t know you have – invisible by definition. The free assessment is where it first comes into view.

One pattern / every decision

It’s never only the sale.

The deal you don’t close is the visible one. Underneath it sits the same move you keep circling everywhere else – and it has the same structure each time.

The hire

The launch

The diagnosis

It’s not willpower. It’s a blind spot.

Sometimes you know the move and avoid it. It hides as a virtue – “I don’t want to be pushy,” “I’m being patient,” “I’m still gathering information.” The reason is genuinely honorable, which is exactly why it never gets questioned.

But the costlier ones are the moves you can’t see at all. What’s stopping you sits in the place you can’t look by yourself – not what you don’t know, but what you don’t know you don’t know. A blind spot is invisible by definition: you can’t reason your way to it, because the thing in the way is the way you’re already seeing. That’s why it stays a puzzle no amount of effort or intelligence solves alone – and why the most capable founders are often the most stuck.

This is where thirty years of building, owning, and leading – paired with a trained ear and rigorous ontological distinctions – work like surgical instruments into exactly that hidden region. This is not the recycled affirmations and pre-packaged technique of pop coaching, which only rearrange what you can already see. Ontology is the opposite: a disciplined inquiry into how you are seeing the situation, used to make the invisible visible – precisely, and specific to you. One prescribes from the outside. The other reveals from inside the way you actually see. Then the move you couldn’t find becomes one you can make.

The AI question

Why a chat window can’t find it.

I build AI strategy for a living, so take this precisely: AI is extraordinary for the work you can already name – drafting, planning, weighing options you can see. Use it for all of that.

But a blind spot is the one thing you can’t put in a prompt. You can only tell an AI what you already know you know. The move that’s stopping you lives in what you don’t – and the find happens in what you didn’t say: the hesitation, the detail you skipped, the place your voice changed. I catch those the way you catch a wrong note – intuitively, in the moment, voice to voice. No chat window can do that, because you’d have to already see the thing in order to type it.

The same avoidance that stalls a deal stalls a hire, a focus, a launch – and a leader. Left alone it doesn’t stay at work – it blocks things in your personal life and relationships too. I design the way through all of them.

The cost of waiting

A delayed decision has a meter running.

$650/ day
what one $60,000 decision costs for every day it sits unmade

It isn’t paused – it’s billing you. In revenue you don’t earn, the hire who isn’t yet contributing, the market you haven’t claimed, the momentum you never build. Now multiply that by every decision you’re circling at once. The move isn’t urgent because I say so. It’s urgent because the meter never stops.

The work / three steps to the move

Find it. Reframe it. Make it.

The BlindSpot Assessment

The move you avoid disguises itself as a virtue, which is why you can’t spot it on your own. This short diagnostic surfaces the disguise – and the pattern underneath it.

The outcome

What changes.

The path

We locate the decision you keep circling, name the reason that has protected it, and reframe it into an action you can take – so the next moment that calls for the move ends in a move, not another delay.

The endpoint

Decisions stop piling up behind you. Warm relationships turn into signed clients, the right hire gets made, the focus gets chosen. You move at the pace your business actually needs – in the deal, and in the room you lead.

Who you’d work with

Sunil Bhaskaran

Sunil has spent more than thirty years helping founders and leaders make the decisions they keep circling – more than ten thousand of them, across six continents. His clients range from solo founders to leadership teams inside organizations like Compass, Cisco, and Comerica Bank, where his coaching helped Compass grow 150% in two years.

He is trained as both an engineer and a designer – dual degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science – and built his practice at the seam between the two: the structural precision of engineering and the generative thinking of design, grounded in ontology. That combination is the work. Most advisers treat a stuck decision as a motivation problem. Sunil treats it as a design problem – the decision is jammed by how it has been framed, and reframing it is what frees the move.

He is the founder of Global Communities and the Global Business Mastermind, a program and community grown to more than 150,000 business owners across the US, UK, Canada, and Southeast Asia. A globally recognized speaker, mentor, and educator, he draws on the social sciences, economics, literature, cognitive neuroscience, and ontology to see a business from more angles than one discipline allows.

Author of More Money, More Time, Less Stress, with Unstoppable You forthcoming. Born and raised in Singapore. His mission is simple and large: one million leaders who go on to change one hundred million lives.
